Studies

The Partnership commissioned detailed studies to determine the importance of the site and remaining artefacts, the condition of buildings, and the natural history of the site and its surroundings.

While this research was underway, emergency repairs were carried out to some buildings.

The results of the studies were used to prepare a master plan for the site. Many ideas for the future use of the site were considered, but the only one that seemed to have sufficient potential was renewable energy.
